A hybrid's lover?

"Riatha, are you okay?" She gritted her teeth. She hadn't been paying enough attention to hear him drop down into the pit with her, but she was biting back the yell she wanted to let out. That was a stupid question. It's obvious you're not okay." She snorted, "You're right, that was a stupid question." She mumbled, not caring if he heard. Struggling to her feet, she didn't dare place any weight upon her leg. Stumbling a little, she caught herself against the wall. "And what, pray tell, are you doing down here?" she snarled, baring white teeth -- probably feeling more anger than she should have been. Frustration poured into her brain like a river would a lake, and she couldn't even pace to let it out. Fur bristled, but she forced herself to stay at least slightly rational.

Akame flinched a bit. "I just thought you needed help," he whimpered, looking at his paws. He looked up at the top of the pit. "How'd this get here anyways? Humans aren't in this part of the mountains," he said, reaching up with his front paws. "It doesn't seem that deep," he added, looking back at Riatha.

Riatha looked above her, looking for some evidence for as how long ago it had been put together. Looking at her feet, the leaves were brittle and cracked away into nothingness to the touch -- dead. Some of the twigs were covered in moss and rot -- this wasn't a new contraption. Thinking back to it, this should have been easy to spot amongst the lush vegetation; what carelessness. Letting out a shaky breath, she tried to hold in her initial rage. Opening lightly closed eyes, she tried to appear at least relatively calm. "No, but they used to be -- before they came up with those loud machines." She looked at her back leg and back to the opening. Sighing, she laid back down. "Easy for you to say." she muttered.

Akame hopped back down and looked at Riatha. He walked slowly over to her. "I'm not going to leave you, don't worry," he said laying down across from her. "That is, unless you want me to," he added, a little nervous about the answer.

"I'm not going to leave you, don't worry...that is, unless you want me to..." "Whatever you so choose," she said quietly. For the first time in a long time, fear twisted her gut. She had never felt so completely hopeless, like there was nothing that could be done. As hard as she tried, she couldn't keep the feeling from escaping into her eyes. But Riatha had to get out of there. She just had to. She would die if she didn't.

Akame saw the fear in her eyes. He looked up at the top of the pit. He looked at her. "I want you to use your good leg to jump up okay?" he asked getting up. "I'll help you get out of here," he added giving a small smile. "Trust me," he added.

"I want you to use your good leg to jump up okay? I'll help you get out of here. Trust me." Riatha was surprised by how reassured she was by that small smile, those two little words. But could she really? Well, it didn't seem she had a choice, now did it? Struggling to her feet with such little balance, looked up at the tree-filled canopy that still danced above them. "Okay." she replied, looking at him before preparing herself to jump. Muscles tensed as she lifted her front legs and put weight on her one good leg. With a small grunt she pushed herself as high as she would go -- which was quite pathetic, compared to how high she would have gone had she been healthy.

[Night]

Akame quickly shoved himself under her, using his shoulders to push her further up. He stood up slowly on his back paws, putting his front paws on the wall in front of him. "You should be high enough to get out, hurry," he said, digging his claws into the ground. His golden eyes were closed, hoping it would work.

Auds whipped forward as the loud yelp pierced them. Her blue pools looked towards the sound and she gained speed. Her streamlined body wove in and out of the greenery, legs wrapping then unraveling. Finally she skidded to a halt, barely missing the gaping hole. She twisted and turned so she was peering down.

She saw a familiar face and one not so familiar. "Akame?" She stood, blue pools confused. "How on earth did...? What-? Where the hell did this hole come from?" She stuttered. "And how did you manage to find yourselves within it?" She snorted ten circled to the edge they were trying to climb. "Enough with my questions, don't even bother answering them, let me help you"

Tail curled beneath her as she was pushed up towards the edge. She was slightly surprised, but had other things to think of at he moment. Front paws gained land perfectly, but her back paws had a little more trouble. She caught herself as her front claws dug into the dirt and her mouth clamped down on a low, bending branch from a near-by tree. Akame? oh goody, someone else to deal with. blah blah blah, let me help you. Riatha breathed roughly. "That would be. Much. Appreciated." she forced out, clawing at the earth desperately.

[Night]

Akame pushed up further, suddenly hearing Aryans voice. "Aryan, help her," he said, sounding a bit tired. His back legs were burning from being on them for so long. His teeth were bared as dared open his eyes.

Aryan tipped her diadem at the she-wolf's reply. She seemed like one of those who were "rough around the edges." She only hoped she did not cross her. Aryan was a genlte wolf and easy to get along with, but since the birth of her pups she has changed. She is now very dominant and snaps quickly to disrespectful words or tones. This was a good change in a way, after all she was the Sammurai Alphess.

She bent over the edge and gripped the wolf's scruff upon her neck gently. Then she brought her hind legs beneath her for support and tugged.

While normally Riatha would have been insulted by such a touch, she allowed the other female to pull her up over the edge. Scrambling the rest of the way onto dry land, she panted before turning around and nodded thanks towards the other female. Turning around she peered over the hole's edge down at Akame. "Come on you, let's get you up out of there too." she said with a slight jerk of her head.

Akame jumped down onto all of his legs. He looked up at the two females. He bunched up his muscles and lept up into the air. His front paws hit the land with his chest and head. He scrambled with his back paws, but couldn't make it. He looked at Aryan and Riatha for help. He fell back down into the hole, thankfully not hurting himself.

Aryan thought for a moment before acting, but she first parted her lips to the she-wolf. "I must ask of you to sit down, you leg does not look too good." She flashed a gentle smile then turned to the edge once more. "Hold on Akame" She then began to dart around the area, searching. Finally she found a large enough boulder and began to strenuously shove it with her shoulder. Powerful hind legs gripping the heart, digging into the soft skin. She pause panting making much progress. Finally it neared the edge and she yelled down. "Akame, this boulder will not be big enough for you to just hop out, but it will give you height. Now you must listen to what I have to say. First I will ask you to move so I can drop this down." She did so once he moved. "Now the whoel is large enough for a slight running start, run and jump upon the boulder but do not stop, keep gaining momentum, and when you reach the wall, keep it going, grip into the wall with what claws you have been gifted with." She then paced around the hole. "If this does not work try again"
