A Realistic Wolf RPG >>>
[/size]"It was 2050 when the remainder of our wild kin was removed by man's poisons and guns. They held no chance, our kin could not manage to outsmart that of man and in the end they all perished, leaving nothing more than those kept captive in animal sanctuaries and zoos, those who had never seen the world outside their pens and cages. It was a sad day. There were humans that protested, humans that were glad that they were all gone and those who cared not at all. Life went on and the wolf habitat was soon taken over by man. Houses went up and things continued like the wolf did not matter at all. As if our kin was suppose to live surrounded by walls.
By 2100, however, there was a change in the world and would you believe it was by a little boy? A mere human child felt that things should be different, that the wolf was something that belonged in the wilderness, where we had once lived those years ago. The child wrote letters to millionaires, wildlife organizations, anyone he could manage. And his words did actually reach the ears of those that wanted to make a difference. With nearly global help it was decided that since the wolves natural habitat had been lost that they would make a habitat of their own. A place where wolves would be safe and free.
They constructed a island off the Canadian coast and there they created all they could manage; cliffs, hills, valleys, rivers, creeks, you name it. Then the humans planted trees and all sorts of vegetation, and then came the prey; elk, deer, rabbits, mice, little quail, anything that could manage to survive. The island was given several years to mature and balance.
Then in the year 2120, the wolf was introduced. The first of which being a grey wolf by the name of Niellä which later became the island's name. Things were rocky at the start, our kin had never seen the world outside their cages. The humans, however, helped how they could, leaving a carcass here or there to insure our survival, and before long, they did learn and forgot the scent of man and became what their kin had been those years before.
And like the wolves of old packs were formed. Four of them to be exact Pohjois, Etelä, Itään, and Länsi. For the most part the packs lived near one another quite well, even banding together in times of need, and there were, of course, moments where packs would fight, leaders and lands would change but that was the way of the wolf.
Not much has changed, now, in the year 2140, but the question is -- what sort of wolf will you become?"
