If you run away, who can catch you?

Ryu followed and shook his long pelt. He listened to her song and heard a few replies back. He smiled lightly as he recognized them from the nearby wolves. He threw up his head adding in his own song. It was deep and mysterious, much like how he looked.

Mali finished then looked to Ryu with smile. Her pearl tinged fur began to dry in the gaze of the warm sun, and her butterscotch pools looked on brightly. She then began to think about the dream last night. Was it a dream? She looked to the skies in question then sighed.

"Well, clumsy.." she chuckled "What do you want to do?"

[Night]

Ryu stopped howling when he heard her question. He looked at her and shook his pelt. He really didn't know. Truthfully, he wanted to talk about her dream, but if she didn't want to he wouldn't push her. He thought for a moment.

"Well what do you want to do?" he asked, looking at her.

[.:Aryan:.]

Mali sighed and shrugged. She approached him and pressed her nose against his then nuzzled him. "Well, there must be something" she stated as she sat upon her haunches. She looked out onto the calm waters of the lake and thought. "Food sounds good eh?

[Night]

Ryu's stomach growled. He looked at it. "Yeah, I forgot we haven't eaten anything today," he replied, looking around. He got up. "C'mon let's go. I know a good place where some deer are," he said. He then bounded off back into the woods. He crawled under a log that was too high to jump. He almost got stock because of his broad shoulders, but he made it. He ran the rest of the way, until he hit a river in a clearing. He looked across the river and saw a herd of deer.

Mouth watering, he sat down to wait for Mali.

Mali chuckled at his energy and was quick to follow him. She ran just feet behind him. Streamlined body gave her much agility as she wove in and out of the greenery. Pink tongue rolled out the side as they finally came to a stop. She panted for a few moments but caught her breath."Now we must pick one"

[Night]

"I will let you chose, Mail," Ryu replied, lifting his back paw to scratch right behind his ear. Fleas. He hated them so much. Once he was done scratching he got up and shook his pelt. Looking, up and down the river he noticed a fallen tree. "We can cross there to get to the herd," he added, pointing to the tree with his tail.

Mali nodded and watched the harem as a young buck tried to keep control. She chuckled a bit but continued watching. It was then that a larger buck came into view, he wanted the females. "That one, the buck crossing the field....now, thats the one" She smiled, then looked to the log. "Ready?"

[Night]

Ryu looked at the buck. "Of course. Let's go," he said, slowly walking to the log. If they ran he knew they would surely scare off the herd and lose their prey. He stepped up ontot the log to make sure it was sturdy. He deffinantly didn't want to fall into the rushing river below. He carefully picked his way across and landed on the other side. He looked back at Mali.

Mali smiled and casually walked across the log with no change in pace. She padded onto the other banking and then crawled up the grassy hill. She peered over watching. "He is pretty distracted, they both are" She spoke of the challenging bucks. "You cut it the way and I go the opposite, and we will meet?'

[Night]

Ryu looked at them. He nodded. "Watch out for the antlers and hooves," he said, before walking around and towards the buck. He waited in his position, waiting for Mali to get in her place.
Onxy eyes seemed to be pinned on the buck. His antlers were large and rather pointy. They could impale a wolf rather easily if they weren't careful.

Mali nodded then turned to the direction she would head. She wove around till she could see both the meal and Ryu. Then she bolted out of the bushes. Everything was a blur now, the deer scattered but she ran the buck in Ryu's direction. She grabbed its heel and it bellowed as it fell over, landing hard.

[Night]

Ryu ran towards the deer. He watched as it fell over. Smiling, he leaped at it's throat, only to be knocked away by the sharp antlers. He landed on his side with a yelp. He slowly got up, a gash was on his side where blood dripped out. He ran back over, dodging the antlers and bit into it's neck. He didn't move until the buck's body went limp. He let go of the neck and looked at Mali. "You first," he said, inviting her to take the first bite.

Before she enjoyed her meal she looked at him and began licking his wound. It needed to be cleaned. When she finished she nuzzled him and began to fill her stomach. She had only taken a bite when she paused, waiting for him to join.

[Night]

Ryu was a bit shocked as he watched her clean his wound. He gave her a small smile and then took a bit of the deer, getting a little blood on his muzzle.
