Mali smiled and licked some of the blood off his maw then continued to eat. It was delicious and filling. When she had finished she simply cleaned herself as best she could and waited for Ryu to finish as well. Bored, she chewed upon the antler that had cut into Ryu's flesh and snapped off, accomplished.Well, atleast we know we can have it for later. It should last a day or two.

[Night]

Ryu finished and liked his bloody muzzle. He nodded. "It should, unless we have some unwelcomed visitors," he replied, standing up. He shook his pelt and looked at her. He looked at the deer, wondering what they were going to do withthe remains.

Mali, realizing what he was thinking bolted into the woods. She was gone for a few moments but returned with a large fanned out branch. She set it down next to the edge of the field. She then ran over and began dragging the carcass, placing it beneath the roots of a familiar oak tree. She then began to place branches on the deer and then she looked up to Ryu. "Finished" She smiled, wagging her tail. Then she began to roll on the ground to cover any scent with her own.

Mali snorted out any dirt particles that had made their way into her nostrils, then began to lick blood off Ryu's muzzle.

[Night]

Ryu gave a small smile. "Smart," he said, looking at the branch. He then heard a howl. He looked around. He knew that song. "Hougen and Genba are looking for pack members. It seems they found a new territory," he said, standing up. He thought about the vicious wolves. He had fought against them once, but lost and he had a hurt pride because of it.

Mali's head shot in that direction and she stood motionless for a minute. She scoffed and then began to trot off, turning to Ryu." You coming? I have a surprise for you" She smiled as she began to head to Sunset Peak. The sun would be setting soon and she wanted to give Ryu a reason to stay within these lands with her.
