Kiba bounded after Sagina. "Wait for me," he said, but he soon caught up to her. He ran into the shallow part. He bounced up and down in it, splashing everyone around him.

Ryo bounded up to the pups. She ran into the water, lightly splashing the pups.

Hougen followed, although Genba stayed back at the dens. He walked into the water and looked at them all. He was smiled at them awkwardly. It was obvious he wasn't used to pups or playing around with them.

Sagina was the third one in the water, bounding in; sending just as much water everywhere as Kiba had done. As the water got deeper, however, she stopped and returned back to the more shallow part where she could stand with her nose above the water. The water was refreshing in the summer heat. Noticing Hougen's awkwardness, she bounding over and pounced on him. Her paw came over his neck as she tugged at his ear in a playful way down towards the water.

[Night]

Hougen's head went towards the water. He fell over and chuckled. "Stop it, stop," he said, laughing as his ear was being pulled.

Kiba ran over and jumped on Hougen's stomahc. He bounced up and down playfully. "Come play in the water," he said, tail wagging.

Ryo watched. She smiled and went over to them. "Isn't that cute. I never thought Hougen would be playing with some pups," she said, smiling.

Sagina's tail wagged as she finally let go of his ear and looked around. Shaking out her coat, water splashed everywhere as she bounded over towards Genba. Lowering her head, as she approached, she grabbed his front paw and pulled gently. "Come play with us, Genba." she said, though her voice was a bit more timid. Sagina was determined to make friends with this one, as it seemed that they weren't on the BEST of terms -- and anything less than the best just wasn't good enough.

[Night]

Genba snorted. He pushed away Sagina. "I don't play," he said, looking away from the pup and up at the sky.

Hougen was talking to Ryo, just a friendly conversation. They seemed like they were having an oddly good time, considering out how Hougen really acts.

Kiba was playing in the water by himself.

"I don't play." Sagina whined softly, "Fine then..." she muttered in quite a stubborn way. Walking right back up to him she layed down at his side, head on her paws as she watched everyone else have a good time. She would lay, right there, until he decided to go play with her -- it was a game of silent irritation.

Genba looked at her. "What are you doing?" he asked, a little bit shocked she didn't go back to the water and play.

Kiba ran up to Genba and looked at her. He smiled, knowing what she was doing. He laid down on the other side of the huge dog.

"What are you doing?" but she didn't answer. Instead, she just looked up and over at him with her cute little puppy eyes -- he already knew what she wanted. Sagina just stared, dark tail wagging slowly in a hopeful manner. It didn't matter how long it took, she would lay right there.

[Night]

Genba's eyes softened for a moment, but then went back to being cold. He snorted and got up. "Fine," he grumbled, walking towards the water. He walked into the water and looked at the pups, suddenly he was tackled by Kiba. He fell over, making a huge splash.

Kiba jumped off of Genba and looked at Sagina. "Hurry," he said, before running around Genba.

Hougen watched the pupppies and Genba. He chuckled a bit as his brother was knocked over.

"Fine" Sagina's tail wagged quickly as she got up and followed him towards the water but didn't go in. Instead, she looked around for something more exciting to do. Tail continued to wag as she caught sight of a large bolder overlooking the river. Running over, she recklessly jumped right in -- forgetting for a moment that her ability to swim wasn't too sharp. She hit the cool water and instantly bobbed back to the surface. She was able to feebly dog paddle a good bit of the way back towards the shallow end, but was quickly becoming tired. Suddenly enough, she felt something slimy wrap around her leg. Instead of just pulling her paw out, she twisted and turned in a fit of panic -- only pulling herself further under and getting her more tangled. She wasn't strong enough to just yank the weed out of the ground, and so could not free herself. "Hougen...Genba..." she managed to choke out as water filled her mouth.

[Night]

Genba looked at the small puppy. He quickly ran further into the water. His paws barely touched the ground as he reached Sagina. He dove under the water and grabbed her by the scruff. He noticed the thing wrapped around her leg and let go of her scruff real quick. He bent further down and bit it, he chewed it until Sagina came back. He grabbed her scruff once again and lifter her abover the water. He swam the rest of the way, until his paws touched the ground. He put her on the ground, outside of the water and put his ear to her chest. He could hear breathing. "Kid, get up. C'mon, you're safe now," he said.

Kiba ran over to his newly found friend. "Sagina! Are you okay?" he asked, nuding the other pup's muzzle with his own.

Sagina's eyes shut as she disappeared underwater, kicking to free herself until she found even moving hard to do. Not quite soon enough for her tastes (though she was grateful beyond possible belief), she felt a disturbance in the water. She felt someone grab her scruff, her feet and tail curled up just above the water. When she was put back on the ground, her entire body shook as she coughed up water and finally took a few aqua-free breaths. "Kid, get up. C'mon, you're safe now." Sagina opened her eyes and stood up. "Sagina! Are you okay?" The little pup pushed herself to her feet, nodding weakly at Kiba. Her tail was tucked between her legs and her little body couldn't help shaking.

[Night]

Ryo bounded over. She licked Sagina's fur, trying to comfort her. "That's enough fun for now. Let's get back to the dens. It's getting late anyways," she said, picking up the small pup. She headed back up towards the dens.

Kiba followed, looking at his friend with worried eyes. Sagina was the only friend he had his age, or close to it atleast.

Hougen and Genba followed, catching a deer on the way back for everyone to eat. It wasn't too big, but big enough for everyone to get their fair share.

Sagina was so stunned by what had happened she had almost forgotten to shake the water from her fur -- so as to prevent sickness. She allowed herself to be carried, tail still tucked. The little pup knew she was safe now, but she couldn't help the occasional shiver. Her mind could only skip back to that moment when water flushed down her throat and she almost drowned -- the poor thing was traumatized.

[Night]

Once inside of one of the dens, Ryo set the pup down. She laid down. "Shake that water off your fur and come lay down next to me," she said softly. Even if Ryo had never had pups, she was always sweet to them, even if they were with Hougen or Genba. They were still pups, weren't they?

Kiba sat outside with Hougen and Genba. He was never treated this nicely, usually he was beaten by one of the larger males for doing something stupid, but ever since Ryo and Sagina had came he'd been treated like a pup should.

Hougen dragged a leg of the deer into the den and dropped it. "If you want more, just call," he said, smiling at both of them.
