Sagina stepped sideways and away, laughing as the pups went at Kiba with a pseudo (well, maybe not...) murder intent. After a moment or two, she barked softly and then louder to grab their attention. "Hey! That's my best friend you're pulling at!" she said, nudging Roshi in the side. By this time, Sagina would be a fool to ever think that 'they were just friends', but they weren't exactly mates either; so best friend was the closest thing that came to mind.

[Night]

Roshi looked at both female, the wolf's ear still in his gasp. He let go. "He's from a different pack isn't he? Aren't we supposed to be at war with them?" he asked.

"No," Ryo said. "If anything, we're not at war," she added, much softer.

Gin looked up at his mother. "Oh, well that's what dad has been telling us," he said, tail wagging.

Kiba snorted as he sat up. He muttered something about Hougen under his breath, hoping no one would catch it. He then looked at the pups. "If we were at war, than I wouldn't have risked coming back to this pack," he said, smiling.

[~*Dream*~]

Sagina shot Hougen a dirty look out of the corner of her eye, but her gaze softened as she looked back to the pups and their innocent gazes. She stepped forward and grabbed Lydia's scruff, pulling her off of Kiba's back and putting her back on the ground. "Dad is holding a grudge." she said quietly, looking towards Gin. "Wait, isn't it your bedtime or something?" she said with a grin.

Lydia was first to stop her growling, barking back to Sagina -- she was quite rebellious. Barking in a high-pitch, she jumped on Kiba's back and grabbed his other ear, pulling at it when Sagina wasn't looking -- smiling innocently when Sagina plopped her back on the ground. "No!" she shouted defiantly at the mention of bedtime.

[Night]

Genba came over to everyone. He looked shocked when he saw Kiba, but he smiled. "Welcome home, son, welcome home," he said.

"Oh, so you're Genba's son?" Gin asked, looking at Kiba. His tail wagged. "So that means you're our cousin, right?" he asked, hopping happily.

Kiba chuckled. "Not by blood, pup, not by blood," he said getting up to his paws.

"Okay, that's enough puppies. You can play with Kiba tomorrow. Off to bed," Ryo said, picking Roshi up by his scruff. She began walking towards the dens, with Gin trailing hard on her paws.

Sagina stuck her tongue out at Lydia, smiling. But I don't want to go to bed! Sagina shrugged, "Too bad." she said at Lydia, picking the pup up and carrying her to the dens. She dropped her at the entrance, pushing her in with her muzzle. Sagina stood there for a moment, watching as Lydia pounced on Gin and chuckling softly.

Lydia bared her teeth at Sagina, "But I don't want to go to bed!" she shouted -- mumbling under her breath as she was picked up and carried to the dens. She tried to retaliate, but Sagina was having none of it. "Well fine then!" she said, turning and preparing to pounce on her brother, growling playfully.

[Night]

Kiba bowed his head to Genba.

"Don't bow your head to me, Kiba. Please, make yourself comfortable and rest," Genba commented, lightly pushing the younger male with his paw.

Kiba looked at Genba and stiffled a gasp. The wolve's eyes were foggy, not like they use to be. He stared, surprised. "You're blind," he said.

Genba turned his head to Kiba and smiled. "I am, but no one else knows, not even my own brother. You must not tell or they'll treat me as if I need help," he said quietly. He then headed back towards then dens, only to run right into a rock that was in plain veiw.

[~*Dream*~]

Sagina turned to go to Kiba, only to watch as Genba ran into a rock -- why it had happened, she hadn't a clue. But, instead of making a big deal, she just frowned before dismissing it completely. Lowering her head, she walked over to Hougen. "Thank you." she said simply, nuzzling his cheek before disappearing into the dens where she settled down into her usual spot near the entrance.

[Night]

Hougen snorted and walked into the dens, Genba following right behind him. Hougen laid down next to Ryo and the pups, going to sleep quickly.

Genba laid down on the other side of the enterance. He yawned and laid his head on his paws, following asleep just as quick as his brother.

Kiba looked around and slowly walked into the dens. He looked at everyone and laid down next to Sagina, his pelt up against hers. He nuzzled her cheek and gave her a lick on the ear. "Goodnight, Sagina," he whispered, so he wouldn't wake anyone up.

Sagina smiled, licking his cheek as she snuggled closer to his warmth -- resting her head on the ground. It took her awhile to fall asleep -- afraid that when she opened her eyes he'd be gone again; that this was all just a twisted dream. But, after some time, she settled into a fitful slumber.

[Night]

The next morning, Kiba was outside of the dens. He was down by the lake. He was in the water, up until it touched his belly fur. He yawned and looked around, wondering what everyone else was doing.

Hougen was sitting right outside of the dens, holding Roshi back with one paw. He still looked tired, but he was talking to Genba quietly about Kiba.

Roshi was trying to 'fight' his father for the role of alpha, but he couldn't seem to quite get to him, although he didn't seem to look like he would give up anytime soon.

[~*Dream*~]

Sagina awoke to Lydia pulling at her ear, trying to get her up. Ignoring the little wake-up call, Sagina got up and stretched with a yawn -- surprised to see that everyone else was already up, as she was normally up and about at dawn. Ignoring Lydia, she pranced outside, Lydia yanking at her tail for attention. Sagina's back leg popped out and knocked the pup away. Spotting Kiba in the lake, she walked hesitatingly over, stopping about a yard and a half away from the lake's edge where she barked a happy, hopeful greeting.

For a good bit of the morning, Lydia had been running around; chasing bugs and small rodents. Looking about herself, she noticed one character missing and wandered into the den to get Sagina. Pulling at the older she-wolf's ear, she finally got the wolf awake. "Good morning sunshine!" she said sarcastically. Following her out of the den, she found herself quite irritated when she was just swatted away. Instead, she went to play with the end of Genba's tail.

[Night]

Kiba turned and smiled at Sagina. He came to the shore and shook his pelt, sending what droplets everywhere. "Good morning, Sagina," he said. His eyes were bright and his tail wagging. The wounds that had happened yesterday looked better than before. He fur looked smooth and silky. It was obvious he had tried to make himself look better than he had the day before, even though half of his right ear was missing.

"Would you like to go for a swim?" he asked, not knowing she hadn't gotten over her phobia of water yet.

Sagina closed her eyes as water droplets landed on her face. Kiba was looking much better that morning than he had the night before, and she smiled. Sagina suppressed a cringe, "No, I'd rather not." she said, turning and walking away from the lake. Not only was she scared of it, but she didn't even know how to swim.

Kiba looked at her. He walked up to her, following. He pressed his pelt against hers. "You're still scared, aren't you?" he asked, looking at her worried. He pressed his head to her neck. "If you want, I can help you. It's the least I could do," he added, closing his eyes lightly. He liked her soft fur against his. It felt nice and warm. The memories of when they were puppies flooded into his mind. He remembered them clearly, both the good and bad.

The she-wolf stopped walking, turning back her ears as her face was filled with self-pity. It wasn't a feeling she liked, and thought herself quite selfish for even having such an emotion. "No, the least you can do is nothing at all." she said, smiling slightly as she declined the offer. "There's no need -- I don't see myself needing to swim any time soon anyway." she said. She knew the fear was irrational, and she hated herself for that day a year ago. She secretly wanted to overcome it, but she just didn't have the nerve.
